While Dentzz respects the role of the media in investigating patient concerns, it believes that any assessment of the clinic should reflect the broader context of its work, including the experiences of the tens of thousands of patients it has treated over the years.

Dentzz’s Response to the Reported Extortion Attempt
The clinic is also concerned that, in at least one of the matters being reported, a substantial sum of money was demanded on the condition that the patient would refrain from speaking to Australian journalists about the matter. Dentzz has retained evidence of these communications and considers the matter serious enough to warrant mention.
Clinical Context and Treatment Costs
The clinic has consistently emphasised that complex dental outcomes must be assessed in the context of each patient’s clinical condition, treatment requirements, lifestyle factors and adherence to medical advice. Dentzz has also clarified that initial treatment estimates provided remotely are subject to clinical assessment, with final costs determined by the patient’s treatment requirements, chosen materials and scope of treatment.
In the individual case raised, Dentzz maintains that it continued to offer treatment-based support and sought to assist the patient in addressing their concerns. In Dentzz’s view, focusing primarily on patients who have reported dissatisfaction, without giving comparable consideration to patients who have successfully completed treatment, risks creating an incomplete representation of its overall record.
